The School Day

The school day

The school office is open for enquiries from 8.00 am to 3.00pm Monday to Friday. It would be most helpful if enquiries could be made between these hours.

The school day starts at 8.30 am and finishes at 3.00 pm.

This means the school is open for 32.5 hours in a typical week.

There is a mid-morning break at 10.15 am- 10.30 am when the children play outside (weather permitting). Assembly takes place after lunch every day; occasionally we have Reverend lead assemblies in the church or ‘Open The Book’, led by local members of the community.  Every two weeks on a Friday, we have Celebration Assembly at 2.40 pm in St Michael's Church.  Lunchtime is between 12.00 pm and 1.00 pm. Children can bring a packed lunch or have a school lunch. Universal Infant Meals are provided for all EYFS & KS1 children.

The children are in two classes:

Class 1 –  Reception, Yr1 and Yr2

Class 2 – Yr3, Yr4, Yr5 and Yr6

Afternoon school starts at 1.00 pm. The school day ends at 3.00 pm. At the end of the day parents are asked to meet the children in the playground.  We run various after school clubs, which are changed each term.
