On Wednesday 6th February Beer primary, Seaton primary and St Mary's primary hosted our annual Dance and Food workshop. Visiting schools were Colyton primary, Hawkchurch primary, All Saints Primary and Musbury primary.
Each student learnt how many cells were in our body along with other amazing facts they can tell you about. They also learnt the importance of exercise and eating the right foods and drinking plenty of water. We completed a dance routine which included boxercise, moves yoga and relaxation.
After the children had worked up an appetite they got hands on to make pizzas which were made from half wholemeal half white flour. These included a whole array of colourful vegetables to go on top of the homemade tomato puree and cheese. Children got to try some food which they had not tried before which was exciting. The children looked at measurements and were given the recipe to see if they could make it for their family and friends at home. They were all in agreement that the pizzas tasted amazing.
Well done to all the students from the primary schools who took part.
