Lyme Regis Fossil Festival
The children enjoyed the Fossil Festival in Lyme Regis on 28 April 2017. Their day began with a visit to Minerva Electric Voice, where we found out about women scientists and contributed our own vocal talents to a piece that was going to be featured in the weekend's events. They also found out about fossils, played a fossil game and invented our own fossils with the help of Charmouth Heritage and National Trust. They found listening to Gobbledegook very entertaining. The National History Museum exhibit gave us the opportunity to look through microscopes, dig for fossils and sift for materials to identify things like tiny teeth. A good day had by all.
