Intent: To enhance the self-confidence, collaboration skills and independence of all pupils, whilst developing their empathy for others and the environment.
All children enjoy a Forest School session, led by a qualified Forest School Leader at least once every fortnight. We make use of our location to ensure that children get outside and learn in a variety of curriculum areas e.g. outdoor and adventurous (orienteering), bushcraft and the use of tools (DT), science (ecosystems, biodiversity) and music (learning songs).
At the end of each half term we venture further afield with the whole school. We intend each walk to be enjoyable, reflective, develop our school values and to develop or consolidate one area of our curriculum.
