School Vision

Our mission, vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.

Our Mission

A family of learners where children are encouraged to dream big and aim high!

We aspire to provide a safe, warm and friendly school which has a supportive and inspiring learning environment for all our pupils. We aim to offer opportunities for growth, enjoyment and development, encouraging all children to flourish and achieve their full potential. Our dedicated staff are committed to caring for and nurturing each individual to ensure equitable access and inclusive learning experiences.

Curriculum Vision

Musbury's curriculum is designed to celebrate the school's local context and complement our children's home experiences. A rich and varied diet of activities and experiences enrich schemes of learning that build pupil's knowledge and skills, sequentially.

Learners who achieve their very best enjoy reading and have very secure understanding of English and maths, but are also knowledgeable about other key areas and have skills that are transferable and well-developed.

In addition, we work with our community who are enthusiastic to support our learners in their learning journey and encourage them to contribute to their local community.

Our School Rules

School Values

The children and staff have debated what it means to be a good citizen and decided upon the following attributes for our school values, perseverance, honesty, respect, no outsiders, empowerment and collaboration. These are our chosen values and our basis for praise and reward.

Our Guarantee

We want children to see school as a fun place and remember it with affection. Therefore pupils attending Musbury Primary School will have the opportunity to:

  • Have hands on experiences linked to topic work
  • Work with members of the wider community
  • Be part of a welcoming, family atmosphere
  • Perform in front of their parents at least once a year
  • Work with a variety of visitors offering educational experiences
  • Extend their learning outside the classroom through regular, relevant visits
  • Take risks, try new things, make mistakes and make a mess of things occasionally
  • Have fun
  • Learn to be a caring citizen
  • Learn the value of good relationships
