School meals are available and provided by the Axe Beacon Federation. Menus are sent home every term and children can choose either a meat or vegetarian hot meal. Meals are booked and paid for in advance via Parent Pay (please see the school office for a log in). Children may also bring a packed lunch to school, which is eaten in the hall with the other children. Please ensure that the lunch box is clearly named.
From September 2014 all children in reception, year 1 and year 2 are eligible for a hot free school meal. For children in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 meals cost £2.30.
Free School Meals are provided for children in years 3, 4, 5, and 6 of parents in receipt of some benefits. To find out if you are entitled an application form must be completed via Devon's Citizens Portal. The application form is online and provides an instant decision. If you are entitled to free school meals a copy of the decision must be provided to the school office before free meals are made available.
Pupil premium is additional funding from the government for schools. Student’s eligible – based on the existing free school meals criteria – can attract this funding. Parents and guardians with children in reception, year 1 and year 2 at a Devon school may be asked to complete a free school meal application form to check entitlement.
