Our Intent
To develop children's scientific knowledge and understanding of the nature, processes and methods of science, for now and the future.
We follow the National Curriculum Programme of Study for Science. Our curriculum overview identifies one unit or aspect of science every half term. Each unit builds upon prior knowledge and these key skills are repeated within each key stage. Within every unit, children are expected to use their newly found knowledge to conduct investigations and work scientifically.
Where appropriate we make links with the local secondary school, experts within the community, STEM ambassadors and have acquired funding from the British Science Association to support the children’s scientific learning.
